How To Add Tripcase Calendar To Office 2016 For Mac

This document will explain how to access a published/external/internet calendar.

Sign in to www.tripcase.com and select the Calendar option from the dropdown menu next to your name. Copy the webcal URL in the Subscription section. Paste the webcal URL on your browser and select your preferred calendar client. If this doesn't work, you need to go into your calendar manager.   • Accessing a published/external/internet calendar in Outlook on the web:
    • Note: If you've received an email invitation to a calendar, you can select the link in the email invitation to add the calendar to your calendar view.

      You can also go to your Calendar to add a calendar (an internal person or external calendar) to your view.

      1. Click where you see Import Calendar on the left hand side.
      2. Select From web on the left hand side of the pop-up. Note: To add another Office 365 calendar (user or resource), select From directory.
      3. After you've entered the desired calendar or URL, select Import to add the calendar.
      4. The calendar will be added to your list of calendars.

  • Accessing a published/external/internet in Outlook for Windows:
    • Once you have an external link:

      1. Start Outlook.
      2. From within 'File' tab/menu, select 'Info Account Settings Account Settings'.
      3. Click on the 'Internet Calendars' tab.
      4. Click on the New button.
      5. Enter the link. Click the Add button.
      6. Enter a label for this share within the 'Folder Name:' field and click OK button.
      7. Click Close button to close the 'Account Settings' window.
      8. To view this data, go to your calendar view and place a check mark within the box next to this share name you created under the 'Other Calendars' section.

      Outlook will reload this link/subscription each time you restart Outlook. These subscriptions are 'read-only'. Hddscan for mac. If you edit any item in Outlook, those changes will NOT be reflected/saved.

      'Your mileage may vary' with the ability of 3rd party applications to be able to parse the iCalendar data properly.


  • Accessing a published/external/internet in Outlook for Mac:
    • Currently, Outlook 2016 for Mac (and 2011) does not have the ability to subscribe to an external calendar. Microsoft is aware of this issue and we hope that they provide this feature in a future update to the application.

      But, there is a work around. You can use Outlook on the web to subscribe to an external calendar. Once subscribed via Outlook on the web, the next time you start Outlook 2016 for Mac/2011, the subscribed calendar will appear within your calendar view.

To share or back up a calendar that’s in the On My Mac section of the calendar list, you can export the calendar’s events, then import them into another calendar or to another computer.

If you use a calendar account, such as iCloud or Exchange, you don’t need to export and import its calendars to back them up or have them appear on your other devices. The account calendars are stored on the calendar service provider’s servers, and are automatically updated on all your devices set up for the same calendar account.

Export a calendar’s events

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, click the calendar’s name in the calendar list.

    If you don’t see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List.

  2. Choose File > Export > Export.

  3. Choose a location, then click Export.

    The events are exported to a calendar (.ics) file.

Export all calendars

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, choose File > Export > Calendar Archive.

  2. Choose a location, then click Save.

Import events into a calendar

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, if needed, create a new calendar for the events.

  2. Choose File > Import.

  3. Select the file with the events, then click Import.

  4. Choose the calendar to add the events to.

You can also drag a file with events to Calendar. The events are added to the calendar selected in the calendar list.

Import calendars from an archive file

WARNING: Importing an archive file replaces all of your current calendar information.

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, choose File > Import.

  2. Select the archive file, then click Import.

To merge an entire calendar with another, export the calendar, import it into another calendar, then delete the old calendar.
