Step 1

Click “New” on Outlook's “Home” tab to open a drop-down menu. Click “Choose From” and then click “User Template in File System” to open another sub-menu. Select “Look In.”

Tip

• You may be able to view the OFT file in Outlook simply by double-clicking the file's icon – the file type may already be associated with Microsoft Outlook on your computer. If it doesn't open using this method, right-click the file, hover over “Open with” and then click on “Choose default program..” Select Outlook from the list to open the file.
• To create an OFT-format file, click “New” and then “New E-Mail” under the “Home” tab in Outlook. Create your email and click “File” in the message window. Click “Save As” and select “Outlook Template (.oft)” from the “Save as type” list. Type in a name for your OFT template and press “Save.”
