Excel For Mac Missing Formulas

The latest version 180116 of Excel 16.9 for mac does not appear to support the previous short cut of adding dollar signs to fix rows/columns/cells in formulas via cmd-4. Is there a new way to achieve this? Or is it now necessary to add every dollar by hand? That would seriously dent my productivity. Hi Graham, Do you mean the shot cut to toggle the. When you perform a normal copy and paste on a cell in Microsoft Excel 2019, 2016, and 365 that has been calculated by a formula, the formula gets pasted as well. There is a simple way around this if you wish to just copy and paste only the value within the cell and nothing more. Just follow these steps.

  1. Select the cells or ranges you wish to copy.
  2. Select the “Home” tab.
  3. Select “Copy” in the “Clipboard section.
  4. Select the cell you wish to paste your values to.
  5. Select the lower half of the large “Paste” button. From the extended menu that appears, select “Values“.
  6. Select “OK“.

You have successfully pasted a value in Excel without including the formula.

Not sure if my last post got posted, I have verified that the 'show formula bar' is checked and it still does not show. I have tried checking it off, then back on but still doesn't show. It might possibly be visible at the very top of my screen (just a tiny sliver) but I can't get that to enlarge so that I can see it.
    HELP!

I have the 'show formula bar' box checked but it still does not show. It does appear to be at the very top of my screen (just a tiny sliver) that does not get any bigger if I attempt to click on it). I have tried to turn it of, then back on but nothing changes.
Suggestions? I am on a MacBook Pro, if that makes a difference
